CALL FOR PAPERS

 

The symposium aims to create an interdisciplinary platform for contemporary research on modern interior spaces in Turkey. While not limited to the following topics, we invite papers discussing the various representations and interpretations of modern interior spaces produced in Turkey across different disciplines, solutions in different types of structures, and evaluations through current debates and approaches.

 

Disciplines:Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Cinema, Literature, Media and Communication, Other Design Fields (fashion, graphic, etc.)

Types:Residential Buildings, Tourism Buildings, Healthcare Buildings, Administrative Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Recreation and Sports Buildings, Cultural Buildings

Current Debates/Approaches:Historiography, Adaptive Reuse, Sustainability, Digitalization

 

Conditions and Process of Participation:

Applications must be sent via email to docomomotrint@gmail.com by 15 March 2024, 23:59.

Participants are expected to submit a paper abstract of 750-1000 words, 3-5 keywords, and a visual (one tiff file scanned with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, with a long side of 15 cm).

The abstract should include the purpose, scope, theoretical framework, methodology, and expected outcomes of the study.

Information about accepted applications will be announced on 15 April 2024.

All accepted papers will be presented in person.

Participants are required to send their presentation files to docomomotrint@gmail.com by 5 June 2024 and present them at the event.

A certificate of participation will be provided to all researchers presenting papers at the event.

Works not presented at the event will be excluded from the abstract booklet, and these works will not be listed in the "presented" list.

A selection of presented papers will be published as a book after the symposium.
