Selim Sertel Öztürk received his bachelor's degree with a scholarship from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Başkent University in 2009. He obtained his master's and PhD degrees from Hacettepe University in 2014 and 2022, respectively. His research interests include housing studies, basic design education, and history and theory of interior, and he has publications in these areas. He is a member of 4T Design History Society and docomomo_tr_interior. He participated as a researcher in projects such as "Architects Who Left Their Mark in Ankara" (Koç University-VEKAM) and "Memory Ankara: Ulus" (Ankara Metropolitan Municipality). Currently, he serves as a full-time assistant professor at Başkent University and part-time at TEDU in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.
